It is an honour to provide spiritual guidance and community leadership, in partnership with our volunteers, at Tsawwassen United Church. Together we share God’s hope and love, encouraging our families, friends, and neighbours in South Delta.
As a mother, librarian, and minister, I acknowledge today's challenges and affirm the gifts of our everyday living. We make a difference to each other when we connect authentically. Can we humbly learn from each other, learning spiritual perspectives from Indigenous neighbours, learning wisdom from elders, learning innocence and joy from young people?
Sharing worship, singing in the choir, and visiting care homes is a joy that grounds us all. I’m excited to be on this faithful journey with you.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland and raised in Vancouver, Ron Smail has been involved with vocal harmony since his younger brother, Bob, was able to sing. Three part vocal arrangements would be worked out on camping trips by dad, who sang bass. Back seat conflicts weren’t about whose hand crossed over the middle, but rather who stole whose note

Ron studied music at Douglas College and UBC, becoming a composer and arranger for choral music. Ron accompanies and sings with several choirs, including jazz ensembles. We are delighted that Ron regularly shares his musical gifts and musical knowledge with us every Thursday choir practice and Sunday morning worship.
I grew up in Richmond. During COVID my family and I decided to move to Tsawwassen. I live with my grandmother, mother, little sister, Isabela, and my cat - Giovanni. I love to travel and experience different cultures. I speak both Spanish and French as well as English. I am excited to be part of the Tsawwassen United Church community and look forward to meeting all of you.
