Revised Common Lectionary
Our services follow the Seasons of the Christian Year with the Revised Common Lectionary guide. The Lectionary follows a three year cycle, carrying the church through the sweep of the entire biblical narrative. "The revised Common Lectionary is an ecumenical lectionary created by over twenty-five North American Protestant Churches and the Roman Catholic International Commission on the English in the Liturgy. Lectionaries have been used in the church since the Forth century.
Holy Communion
On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate Holy Communion. Everyone is welcome at God's table, in the United Church's tradition we recognize an open communion. We partake in communion by "Intinction". Going forward you receive the bread, dip it in the cup and eat. Returning to your seat we pause for prayerful meditation.
